Makes me wonder if Ask4 have pressed the alarm bell on this issue (forgot with Direct Debits?) as they saw this topic here and the potential backlash it could have?

I highly doubt that a company is going to forget to charge its customers, they always said it would happen a bit after the migration.

RE: Direct Debits
Just come back from leave and I have a copy of the letter myself.

Find it quite amusing it is dated 14/3/12 and sent 1st class post...same date of this topic..not putting 2 and 2 together of course.

RE: Direct Debits
Update:

I have had another letter from Ask4..Same again in respect to Direct Debit but now on letterhead paper and dated yesterday.

Is this an admin error or is everyone going to get 2 letters on the same subject?

RE: Direct Debits
Just received an email saying my first DD payment of £70.55 will be taken on 5th April. Not too happy about paying such a large amount in one go but I suppose there is no other way. Shame the payments couldn't have been sorted quicker to make the amount smaller.

RE: Direct Debits
So, my DD email came though requesting £70.55. No problem paying the back dues, but is this number correct?

April - £25 (I assume I'm paying in advance)
March - £25
Feb 20th->29th [9 days] = (25/30)*9 = £7.50

Which I may as 57.50? So what's the other £13.05 for?

EDIT: Smilemy direct debit query (send to directdebit@ask ) was answered by the 1st line tech team (to tell me to wait til morning)... Perhaps my technical issue went to finance...

RE: Direct Debits
They'll need to change the DD dates for sure, 5th is not good for me. I dislike some ISP's non-flexible attitude towards DD's.. UndecidedAs of yet no one has been in contact with me for bank details for the new DD, I shall wait and see.

This seems a bit soon, under the DD Guarantee you must be given at least 10 working days notice of intent to debit.

Thought it would be around that amount. That's why I was a little concerned.

No idea where the £13:05 comes from.

Bare in mind RiPWiRE didn't do a payment run for Feb so technically you have Feb cheap Smile

Not by much (£4.45?). It just looks like ASK4 are trying to charge £20.55 for 9 days service. Don't mind paying what I owe, but I'm not sure I owe ask4 that much..

I assume that it's a billing error - but will find out tomorrow when the finance people get in..

Had an email back from ASK4. It breaks down thus:

10th feb -> 10th march : £25
10th march -> 10th April : £25
10th April -> 5th May: £20.55

They are saying service with ask4 commenced on the 10th feb.
