RE: Plex Server
Yeah I've just seen the e-mail. I think I'll get a lifetime subscription before it doubles in price!

RE: Plex Server
You pay to be a beta tester..so for early access to new features.
There are some cloud syncing type features though that might be useful, plus all the clients are free I believe. Anyway, I've never subscribed and im not sure whether I will. |

RE: Plex Server
1) automatically upload camera photos/videos from mobile directly to your plex server (as long as it's online)
2) get movie trailers for films in library plus cinema releases 3) Sync - tell Plex what media you want on your mobile device to watch or play and it will sync it for you so can watch without a connection 4) Cloud Streaming - so can stream directly from the cloud 5) Multi-User Account Access (good if have multiple devices to stream to and they streaming different stuff) The only app you seem to have to pay for is the Windows 8 app

RE: Plex Server
Ok none of that really appeals to me..I just stream from my server to my phone or Macbook when its about with me..as long as that works and that remains free I'm fine

RE: Plex Server
The Roku app also costs; although they have no problem with you using the developer version (that also works on NowTV boxes) for free.

RE: Plex Server
They started charging for it a few months ago, but if you've already got it, you don't have to pay for it retrospectively
