Openreach/BT FTTC rollout is shocking
Hoyland was originally pencilled in for Fibre in Jun 2013. It is not showing as September this year... Such a poor show. Heh. Anyone else waiting for FTTC now after the shut down of DR?

ISP: Ask4 DR Speed: 39.5Mbit /9.90Mbit Ping: 16ms to bbc.co.uk Line Length: ~400m

Yupp.

I considered DR in 2012, but decided against it as it was so pricey at the time.
I reconsidered in 2013, Origin advised me there would be a free connection offer in August - then the network closed.

There is now no fibre available in Norfolk Park (Sheffield exchange).

Nor is there in my part of Longley (Attercliffe exchange).

We're all waiting for any information or details regarding the BDUK rollout.

I imagine there will be some news within the next few months because the new deal between the 4 South Yorkshire councils and Bt is due to start rolling out this summer!

There should be some news NOW!!! According to the BDUK progress site they have apparently already allocated funds to "Phase 2" although nothing to "Phase 1". If the funds are allocated then they must know where theyre spending them - or is that too simple?
