They obviously mistakenly assigned two addresses. In that case the server may have picked one at random out of those two or perhaps if you reconnect quick enough it thinks the first one is in use and picks the second, whereas normally if there is only one assigned it HAS to use it. Either way, obviously a mistake.

whats going off again with Origin/digital region, look at the graphs. more maintenance? or something

or maybe its TBB? my ping in cmd looks ok

Its not TBB as such, its the nature of how the graphs work.

If you read the TBB ping monitor page it states that one line on the graph represents 100 seconds/pings. So it only takes 1/100 pings spiking to 40+ms to create a yellow spike and that is what is currently happening.

The time to worry is when it goes very blue or very red. Its worth reading the TBB BQM FAQ.

thanks for this, i will have a read. because it is happening to all dR customers its something to do with them? and because it isnt blue or red it isnt something to worry about...yet

The ping tests should be updating again now.

I had broken the firewall configuration on my VPS so it had been blocking DNS lookups for the past week, oops.
