BT Infinity coming to Sheffield - maybe?

I had the weirdest conversation with BT the other night.

I rang their customer services to sort out my landline which was pretty straight forward. At the very end of the call she noticed that I was not with BT for the broadband services and asked why. I simply said it was because Infinity wasn't available in my area. She then did a little check and came back with, "Infinity roll out is in progress". I asked her to clarify as in give me a date. She stated that no date is available yet, but it's definitely not "null" on her system. So to me it sounds like Infinity might be plugging the DR gap sooner rather than later. Since I am on the SLSF exchange, it sounds like a lot of the city centre might get Infinity in 2014.

I tend to agree with @gribz_uk here. Infinity roll out means absolutely bugger all and even if the exchange was enabled, it by no means you will get it. Conisbrough is activated for Infinity and nearly all of Conisbrough is done, but they missed my cabinet out completely but did others up and down the road!

I shall live in hope that one day Attercliffe exchange will be upgraded for infinity,call me an old cynic but I think the Owls have more chance of winning the Championship title..
