Close Date Announced

Has anyone else had a letter saying the DRN is closing down on the 14th of may, friend of mine just told me hes had one (LBO customer)

I've not had anything at all.

Seems quicker than I expected. I wouldn't have thought all of the Schools and Councils would have managed to migrate yet. Leaves me a bit stuck though as there's no BT FTTC at my Cabinet. Nearly all of the rest of Conisbrough is enabled except my cabinet.

I still think I'm the only one on my cabinet and even them is a small one fed off another cabinet down the road.

BT are apparently coming back and doing mine, and dates indicate end of May but I know that isn't going to happen!

I can tell you that date you mentioned does NOT apply to Origin Broadband or our customers.

Our official announcement will be coming by the end of next week on this.

The phrase "by the end of next week" is a significant shift from "as soon as we know" or "Coming soon"

cant seam to get in touch with him to find out more details, he just rung me up earlier said he had the letter with the date on and asked me to find him new BB that dont require taking over phone line and on a 30 day contract because hes moving soon anyway and the phone line is his dads, other that that he did not give much detail on it so when i finally get in touch ill ask him for more info

Gotta love the fact that despite issuing their clients with a closure date, http://littlebigone.com continues to boast services they can't provide; including 2 TV stations which don't even exist any more.

The councils are moving schools off of DR during the summer holidays, maybe they are getting a little more breathing space as they are having to lay new fibre to each school.
