Service added to bill
Has anyone else on Chess got their bill today and noticed the addition of the 'Fraud Monitor' service on their line?

I hit the roof when I saw it an hour ago. About £4+ per month extra... Never had this before and not happy one bit. Was enough having to ring about the contract from the LBO fiasco.

and...

Anybody else got this? Would be nice to know if they just decided to give it me when I argue with some poor worker tomorrow. Angry

A quick search brings me to this page on their website... http://www.chesstelecom.com/fraud. Seems like an 'optional' service that they have decided to give me without my concent.

Also, this was never part of the LBO contract.

Got mine today my bill is slightly different to yours but still same price as before.

I don't have my line rental through them though still with BT so im guessing its to do with phone service

I I have listed is

1 Ultrafast Broadband 01/08/2013 to 31/08/2013 £29.1700 £29.1700

Ah, thanks for that. Yeah I think it looks that way. I do have the Line Rental with them.

I'm not up on legal things and what not. But I'm pretty sure they can't add that service without asking me first. Companies would be doing it all the time...

RE: Service added to bill
As above I have already ordered and have my install next week, they can shove their contract that I never signed with them in the first place Smile

Infinity 2 is cheaper, faster and no install charge.

RE: Service added to bill
The Chess website states that their terms and conditions change from time to time. I guess they think this allows them to do what they want when they want to do it ?
