RiPWiRE Announcement
Dear RiPWiRE customers,

As you may be aware RiPWiRE has unfortunately had to cease
trading as of 01/02/2012. An option to maintain the current client requirements
is in negotiation with a leading provider and a conclusion to those
negotiations should be reached tomorrow. In the meantime core internet access
and service is being maintained by RiPWIRE.

RiPWiRE's network is and has always been independent of
Digital Region and as of this time is under our control only.

We are not in a position to provide any 1st line support at
this time.

Liam Winder

Managing Director

RiPWiRE.

Well its nice to have a statement Liam and I'm sorry it hasn't panned out the way we had all hoped.
A couple of questions from your statement;
  • Where do current users go for support?
  • Direct Debit payments. Do we cancel them to RiPWiRE?
EDIT: I am placing this an announcement post. If you are to reply to this post, please do not bash Liam or RiPWiRE. Clean discussion only please!!

As I've said before it is sad for any company to have to cease trading as it affects many and not just the people that work for them and it must have been a hard decision to make, but RipWire will probably not be the last - I know they will have a lot to sort out but I still think that Digital Region should have said something earlier especially as they pulled them from their website quite quickly.

You will also find out how dedicated your staff are, by the ones who stay to the very end...

But thanks for coming on here and posting as it will mean a lot to the customers who are waiting to find out what is happening, and it couldn't have been easy. I just hope you and your family pull through these trying times as it won't be easy.

Hi,
A press release will be made in conjunction with the new service provider tomorrow. I'm afraid I cannot share this until everything is finalized. We have worked as quickly as we can to come to an agreement to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Liam.

RiPWiRE Announcement
Dear RiPWiRE Customers,

I am very pleased to announce that we have today signed a deal with ASK4 to migrate our Digital Region customers over to their network.

I would like to thank you for bearing with us through this time. ASK4 will shortly be in touch to take you through the migration process. This is expected to be transparent and should not result in any loss of service as there is no requirement for a change of equipment.

If you have any questions relating to the migration please contact ASK4 support team on [email protected] or 0845 123 8710 or text help to 07797800545.

There is an internal briefing at ASK4 at 9:30 today, I'm sure you can understand that there are lots of technical details need to be covered so if you can bear with ASK4 until after that briefing it would be much appreciated.

Liam Winder

Managing Director
