Tempted to get a little Origin/DR sticker to put over the Openre*ch branding.

I've been having problems connecting with my HG today, but the cellpipe works fine.

Overheating?

Doubt it, It was cool to the touch and it's mounted on the wall.

It seems odd it would have problems, being the same hardware as the Cellpipe and all.

yeh, i'm surprised for it to keep causing disconnections as well as mine has been fine so far, been connected since i modded the firmware and put it in place of my other bt modem. it's now been active for 23 days solid as per the attachment.

Mine is on a unit and not on a wall and gets slightly warm to the touch, but has plenty of ventilation around it

Earlier versions of the OR modem and the overheating issue is the reason why there is at least revisions of it out now.

On the subject of the revisions, which version am I looking to get or which versions to avoid? Reading the descriptions on Ebay they seem to all be saying revision 3b. Also they seem to say that what they're selling is version 3b, but they don't provide a picture showing this, if I was to ask for proof in the form of a picture where would this information be? On the base of the router or on the box?

My questions sound a bit over the top, but I vowed never to use Ebay again after the massive pain in the arse it was last time I got screwed over with a faulty/wrong item, but unfortunately it seems to be my only option for an affordable HG612.
